Department of Information Technology

Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2001 and since then, the department strives to produce industry-ready engineers by imparting quality education and enhancing the proficiency of students with knowledge of cutting edge Information Technology. The department has active research interest in various domains like Machine Learning, Data Mining, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, etc. The department emphasizes on project based learning using modern tools and technologies. The department has intake of 60 and additional intake of 12 as lateral entries at SE (Direct admission after diploma). The department has 13 faculty members, 4 Lab Assistants and 2 Lab Attendants. Student of the department actively participate and win prizes in various national and international level project competitions, hackathons, paper presentations, etc. Students of the department get jobs in industries such as TCS, Accenture, L&T Infotech, Mastek, Majesco, MuSigma, NSE IT, etc.

• To produce industry ready engineers by imparting quality education and enhancing their proficiency with strong engineering foundation and in-depth knowledge of Information Technology
• To encourage curiosity, creativity, innovative thinking, culture of continuous learning and multidisciplinary activities for developing state-of-the-art solutions to real-world problems
• To serve humanity by creating socially responsible citizens with high ethical values who can communicate effectively and work independently or in groups

What is the Student Information Management System?

Student Information Management System (SIMS) is a multi-purpose platform for the department to operate daily activities. The System is designed in such a way that Faculties can complete their daily Student related work with ease. The Students can track their attendance, marks and information of various events daily. Also parents can keep a record of their child's performance. Overall this system has multiple uses with a very efficient and user friendly interface.
